While the warm weather brings a lot of good with it, there is always a downside of this kind of environment — the main issue being, of course, bugs. Most people get itchy just thinking about those tiny nuisances, as they can disrupt just about any pleasant evening.
Bugs can also pester any livestock that you have on your land, which will irritate and disrupt their day as well. However, there are plenty of steps you can take to avoid attracting bugs to your farm, so you can keep your land in good shape.
Here are a few tips to help you avoid bugs:
Apply insect repellant to the animals
While you can wear layers to protect yourself from bugs, the livestock on your farm do not have that luxury. That is why you need to apply bug repellant to each animal at least once or twice a day to help keep the insects off of them.
Avoid being near pools of water
Bugs are attracted to water, whether that is a pond or some runoff from your gardening pots. If you don't want to get bitten by these insects, the best thing you can do is stay away from pools of water as often as you can.
Wear clothes that cover you from bugs
Even though it is hot out, you need to protect your skin from those bugs by wearing long sleeve shirts and pants that cover down to your boots. While it might not be the most comfortable thing in the world, you will be safe from the insects.
